About the teacher:

My name is Rebecca Shaffer.  I grew up in the Antelope Valley, received my A.A. in Music from AV College, and went on to get my B.A. and teaching credential from CSU Northridge.  For the past several years, I have lived in the LA area and worked for Los Angeles Unified School District as a traveling instrumental music teacher, teaching orchestra at five elementary schools each year, and working with an average of over 300 students a year on a weekly basis.  (Needless to say, this was a hectic pace to keep up!)  After recently becoming a mother, I have decided to stay close to home and teach my main instrument (violin) privately.

Some of my qualifications include:

• B.A. in Music Education (CSU Northridge, Magna Cum Laude)
• California Single Subject K-12 Teaching Credential in Music
• 9 years experience teaching music
• 17 years violin experience
• Experience teaching all ages (preschool through adult)
