About the teacher:

My name is Rebecca Shaffer.  I grew up in the Antelope Valley, received my A.A. in Music from AV College, and went on to get my B.A. and teaching credential from CSU Northridge. I then spent several years living in the LA area and working for Los Angeles Unified School District as a traveling instrumental music teacher, teaching orchestra at five elementary schools each year, and working with an average of over 300 students a year on a weekly basis.  I'm happy to be back in the Antelope Valley, teaching private lessons from my home, and pursuing opportunities to provide music education for the community. 

Some of my qualifications include:

• B.A. in Music Education (CSU Northridge, Magna Cum Laude)
• 12 years experience teaching music
• 20 years violin experience
• Experience teaching all ages (preschool through adult)
